I broke down and got a hair cut. If it wasn't for the holidays I would let it get even shaggier and not do anything with it until I return to Hawaii.

Do you have a pair of ice cleats? I could not have gotten through 3.25 AK winters without a fall without a pair. Good stuff! There is a legion of folks I see in the stores and about in winter here with arms in slings, falls on ice the cause. Drag. Cleats. Don't leave the home without them. (About $15...the kind with actual studs, not chains, I hear is the best.)
I'd rather buy a ticket back to Hawaii
